DID YOU KNOW....?
Shea Butter is creating work for poor women. The sacred Shea tree is grown only
in West Africa; it is forbidden to pick the fruit. Collecting the fruit from the
ground and processing the shea nuts is strictly reserved for the women, thus its
nickname, "Womens Gold."

"The trip was so absolutely wonderful, that even if I tried for the rest of my
life to think of anything negative regarding any aspect of this trip, I am positive
that I would continue to come up with nothing."
From an AfricaTours client who just visited South
Africa
(Royal Malewane &
Cape Town) and
Victoria Falls
over her Christmas day birthday.

Lionesses Thwarted by Cubs
Wildlife encounter at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge (Lake Manyara, Tanzania) by ranger
Clever Hlabangani: Two lionesses and their two cubs were seen at Vidimbwini. The
adults were stalking a zebra but their efforts were in vain because the cubs kept
on giving away their position. After the fourth attempt, the two lionesses abandoned
their effort...later, the same females and cubs were seen trying their luck on
a warthog. But once again it did not pay off, still because of the cubs."

As I look out the window the signs of spring are nowhere in sight in New York.
I look at the ducks and swans and wonder why they have spent the winter here,
would they not rather be in warm sunny Africa . . . Just think right now the sun
is starting to go down, your vehicle has stopped so that you can watch the magical
African sunset while enjoying a sundowner (juice, wine, beer or champagne), the
animals are starting to get active and your evening adventure is about to start.
Wouldn't you rather be in Africa right now??
