Singita - Making a difference.
Singita is committed to
improving and transforming the
lives of those less fortunate
by initiating change for good
and working symbiotically with
communities for a better
world. Due to constant
involvement and contributions
from our guests we have been
able to support many different
projects at each property,
below are just some of the
projects that we have been
involved in over the past
year.
SINGITA SABI SAND
God's
Will Disabled School
Over the past year guests and
staff have raised money to
fund a Christmas party for the
children at the school.
The
Tshemba Hosi Care Centre
Tryphina Makhubela needed to
find a school where she could
send her handicapped child and
unfortunately there was
nothing in the surrounding
area. She teemed up with her
friend Maggie Mokoloi, and
together they approached the
local Catholic Church for
premises. In 2005, they were
given notice to vacate the
church hall and they turned to
lodges within the Sabi Sand
Reserve to assist. By chance,
a Singita guest visited the
Care Centre and his company
then provided funding support
to build a new centre.
Construction commenced and a
brand new, 4 classroom centre
with practical amenities was
opened in 2007.
SINGITA TANZANIA
Reintroduction of Native
Species In
collaboration with the
Tanzanian government Singita
is working at reintroducing
the East African sub species
of black rhinoceros (Diceros
bicornis michaeli) to the
Western Corridor of the
Serengeti Ecosystem.
Environmental Education Centre
This centre offers top
performing learners from local
schools, in their penultimate
school year, a sound level of
understanding of the Serengeti
Ecosystem.
Wildlife
Monitoring The
Singita team of game scouts on
the reserve are responsible
for documenting wildlife
presence and movement as well
as any other data of
biological importance within
the concession areas. On-going
data collection, co-ordinated
and analysed by the
organisation's.

programs or to book any of the

Pezula Castle on the beach.
The
castle, which was built in the
1930s, is a few steps away
from Noetzie beach, one of the
most unspoilt and secluded
beaches on the Garden Route
coast. It now houses a
restaurant which serves light
meals and refreshments from
10:00 am to 5:00 pm every day
and is a great place for
guests to relax and soak up
the sun. With its whimsical,
romantic decor and exquisite
views of the beach, Noetzie
River mouth and the Indian
Ocean, it is run by the
hotel's gourmet restaurant
Zachary's, under the helm of
well-known Executive Chef
Geoffrey Murray (who hails
from New York). It caters for
hotel guests only and offers a
stunning venue to cool down at
lunch time after a morning in
the sun. Alternatively, guests
can order a delicious picnic
hamper to enjoy on the
secluded beach. Deck chairs,
umbrellas, towels and beach
games are available on
request. On cooler days,
guests can relax in the sunny
library room with its own real
log fireplace and watch the
waves crashing onto the shore.
Dolphins are regular visitors
to these warm waters and
whales can be spotted from May
to December.
Camp Jabulani - Zindoga Family Villa.
The Zindoga Villa is Camp
Jabulanis most recent

children. A completely
self-contained facility, the
Zindoga Villa is a palatial
replica of Camp Jabulanis
style and elemental premise.
