With a maximum of six people you will travel via road through Mpumalanga the home of Blyde River Canyon, the game sanctuary of Kruger National Park, the Kingdom of Swaziland, and stop at a cultural village in KwaZulu Natal and end the trip in the extraordinary “Mother City” of Cape Town.

Thu Day 1 Depart USA on South African Airways from your choice of gateways.
Fri Day 2 Johannesburg: Sandton City Holiday Inn Garden Court
Arrive into Johannesburg, you will be met by an AfricaTours representative and escorted to the hotel. The hotel is located within walking distance of Sandton City; it has 157 rooms, all of which are air-conditioned, and come with a private bathroom, color TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, laundry service and room service. The hotel has 1 restaurant and 1 bar and is equipped with an outdoor pool. The Square and Village Walk, exclusive shopping centers, sports facilities cinemas and zoo are all close by.
Sat Day 3 Johannesburg: Sandton City Holiday Inn Garden Court (B)
Enjoy a half-day tour of Pretoria. Also known as the Jacaranda City after the city's Jacaranda trees, which blossom in springtime. Named after Marthinus Pretorious, Pretoria houses the central government offices as well as a host of foreign embassies and is home of 1994 inauguration of President Nelson Mandela. Your tour includes the Union buildings, designed by Sir Herbert Baker, and which house the office of the President of South Africa, a visit to the Voortrekker Monument, which stands as a reminder of the courage and spirit of the Voortrekker’s - pioneer settlers who left the Cape in search of land further north, visits to Paul Kruger House and Melrose House - both depicting different eras in South African History. You will be taken on a drive through the suburbs before returning to your hotel, where your tour ends.
Sun Day 4 Mpumalanga: Lone Creek River Lodge or Similar (BD)
After breakfast, depart for Mpumalanga, travel via historic Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Long Tom Pass, Sabie and Lone Creek Waterfalls. Lone Creek River Lodge nestles in the river valley outside the town of Sabie, embraced by majestic mountains and evergreen forests. Breathtaking views will greet you every morning from five exclusive hotel rooms and eight private suites. Both en-suite and fully serviced accommodation include DSTV, open fireplaces, and tea and coffee making facilities. A rock pool offers a relaxing therapy. Be spoiled in the Georgian styled manor house's restaurant, offering a five-course table d'hôte menu, served either indoors on the verandah or privately in the classic wine cellar.
Mon Day 5 Kruger National Park: Protea Hotel Kruger Gate (BD)
Today you will tour Mpumalanga. This tour you will visit places of incredible beauty and see an ever-changing landscape. The Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels, God’s Window, and the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, Mac Mac and Lone Creek Falls. Lodge facilities include an a la carte restaurant, the safari-style Burn Out Bar and a quiet lounge. A crystal-clear rock pool amid sprawling lawns is a glorious invitation in the heat of a Lowveld day. Outdoor attractions include scenic walks, mountain biking and fishing. Umbhaba has 13 suites which are tastefully decorated, each with an individual style. They consist of an open log fireplace, en-suite bathroom, and mini-bar and satellite television. Tue Day 6 Kruger Private Game Reserve: Bongani Lodge (BD)
Enjoy early morning game drive in Kruger National Park; continue onto a private game reserve. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive in an open-topped vehicle. Bongani Mountain Lodge lies on 8000 hectares/19 800 acres adjoining the southern section of the Kruger National Park. Bongani has 20 chalets, nine suites and one Presidential suite. The rooms are spread out across the mountain ridge and surrounded by impressive outcrops of granite. All the chalets and suites have a verandah and en suite bathroom with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Suites are ideal for families with small children as there are sleeper couches in the lounge area. The attractive guest area encompasses a sitting area, dining room and bar, all opening onto a deck boasting spectacular views of the Lebombo and Malelane mountain ranges. Wed Day 7 KwaZulu/ Hluhluwe Game Reserve: Gazebo Safari Lodge (BD)
After a morning game drive in an open-topped vehicle before traveling to Zululand via Swaziland. Enter Swaziland via the Jeppes Reef and continue through this Royal Kingdom, down the Valley of the Kings, past the Royal Palace arriving at the lodge in the late afternoon. Enjoy a morning game drive. Departing Hluhluwe the journey continues towards Durban. Arrive at a Cultural village in time for lunch and a show displaying local culture. Visit the Indian Ocean resort of Umhlanga, before continuing the journey, to arrive in Durban in the late afternoon. After a morning at leisure, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Cape Town. Arrive into Cape Town, where you will be met by an AfricaTours representative and escorted to the hotel. Sat Day 10 Cape Town: The Commodore Hotel (B)
Enjoy a full day tour of the beautiful Cape Peninsular. Depart your hotel and travel via Green Point and Sea Point to Maidens Cove and then on to Hout Bay where there is a short stop. Passengers wishing to take the optional boat trip to Duiker Island will be dropped off to board their boat. The rest of the passengers have time at leisure in Hout Bay to perhaps visit the variety of shops or stop for refreshments. After collecting the passengers off the Duiker Island trip, we continue on our journey via Constantia Nek to the world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens--one of the world's greatest botanical gardens with over 5000 plant species in the gardens and hot houses. Visitors have plenty to do and see here, including a large gift shop, restaurants, and walks in and around the garden. Leaving Kirstenbosch, we make our way to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope by way of funicular or on foot. The views from this point are spectacular. There is a lunch stop (optional and for own account) and afterwards we proceed via Simonstown, Fishoek and Muizenberg and back Cape Town.
Sun Day 11 Cape Town: The Commodore Hotel (B)
Today, journey on a tour of the famous Cape Winelands. After departing your hotel, you will proceed to the wine region of Paarl for a cellar tour and wine tasting. After a short orientation tour of Paarl, there is a chance to walk around the town before heading through to Stellenbosch via Franschoek. Lunch stop (for own account). We then proceed to a wine farm for your final wine tasting before returning to Cape Town where the tour ends. Experience the unforgiving crags that rise up in a haze of splendor around these renowned Winelands with their range of award winning wines. Or, simply marvel at the majesty of it all. A rare find.

You will have the morning at leisure, before transferring to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg; connect with your International flight.
